It has done the same with almost all connected objects on the market and now offers a very nice family of connected watches at super attractive prices… without compromising on functionality and quality! Connected watches have not been easily democratized, with a market segmented between very complete “high-end” models and “entry-level” models that are often not very functional… A state of affairs that Xiaomi came to shake up ago a few years ! The manufacturer (who did not participate in the writing of this content) thus offered quality connected tocantes AND at unbeatable prices. Let’s go into a little more detail: the Xiaomi watch offering is divided into two families, that of Xiaomi Mi products (or Xiaomi alone) and Xiaomi Redmi. On paper, the first brings together the most efficient products and the second those offering the best quality/price ratio. But we quickly noticed: the difference in use is not always obvious and the price differential is more at the level of the materials used and the design than the technical sheet alone. To help you see things more clearly, we have selected the brand’s best products and tested them extensively to create our comparison of Xiaomi connected watches.

Our comparison of Xiaomi connected watches
The Xiaomi Mi Watch connected watch, the essentials at a low price
The Mi Watch is the perfect example of a small sports watch designed for precision and efficiency. Its 46 mm diameter leaves room for a 1.39 inch AMOLED screen and a quality plastic case. It hides within it a GPS and a heart rate monitor for very precise monitoring of your physical activity. All it lacks is the possibility of carrying out an ECG but, at this price level, it’s difficult to hold that against it… All the ergonomics are designed for sport, with a fluid interface which makes it very easy to find the information we can seek. Interactions are mainly notifications with the display of SMS and call reception. A tocante which will be able to accompany you during all your sporting activities, even during long trekkings with an autonomy which reaches without blinking a week and can reach two and a half weeks.
Xiaomi Redmi Watch 3 Active, the sports version!
The little sister of the Redmi Watch 3 is clearly designed to support demanding athletes with a limited budget. It takes the design of its predecessor and the same metal case. It offers 110 sports training sessions, including 10 at professional level. It has enough sensors to monitor the quality of your sleep, track your daily activity and during greatest efforts with the measurement of heart rate or blood oxygen saturation. In fact, it only lacks a GPS, but at this price level it is difficult to combine aesthetics, quality of materials and a perfect technical sheet. The 1.83-inch square screen is very bright and allows natural interaction with your watch. A fairly durable product with a good two days of battery life and more than a week if you don’t abuse its capabilities.
The Xiaomi Black Redmi Watch 2 Lite, for tight budgets
With this model, we find the square design popularized by Apple… but here, say goodbye to metal for plastic, even if it is of excellent quality. The case comes in Ivory, Black, Blue and the rubber strap in Pink, Olive and Brown. The finish is of a good standard and we appreciate the curved glass that covers the 1.55-inch screen. A product that is solid and is also 5 ATM certified (resistance up to 50 m), enough to do laps in the pool without worrying about your watch for example. This model offers 100 training modes, some of which qualify as expert. To monitor your physiology, you will have at your disposal a sensor to measure blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), one dedicated to heart rate and your sleep will be monitored like milk on fire. She is also able to monitor your stress level and will even suggest breathing exercises to reduce it. Allow a good day of autonomy if you play sports each time you wear it and otherwise it can reach around ten days.
Xiaomi Redmi Watch 3, the Xiaomi reference
This pretty square watch with an entirely metal case has charm and is as light (37 g) as it is solid. The strap is made of silicone with a very soft feel and, like the associated case, comes in black or beige. A product that is comfortable to wear and just as comfortable to use with its beautiful 1.75-inch 2.5 D Curved color AMOLED screen. A small detail that improves readability on brightly lit days. In addition to being attractive, it can measure real-time heart rate, SpO2 (blood oxygen level), monitor your sleep and supports more than 120 different sports. Whether you run, walk, jump rope, row, play football or canoe, this connected watch will best measure each of your efforts. Being waterproof, don’t be afraid to dive with it. In terms of autonomy, allow two to three days and more than a week if you limit it to the strict minimum with this tocante.
The Xiaomi Watch S1 connected watch, the most beautiful Xiaomi tocante
The Xiaomi Watch S1 is the model that comes closest to its “high-end” competitors with a design that balances classicism and modernity. It doesn’t stop there, because the manufacturer has taken equal care of the materials used for its design with a stainless steel case, a sapphire crystal dial and a very elegant leather strap. It is also available in an Active version of the watch, sportier and just as premium in its design. It has GPS, a heart rate sensor and even an oximeter. The watch will allow you to monitor your physical activity or your complete health. It allows you to read SMS, answer a call and control audio playback controls. Are you looking for a quality, precise product with a premium finish, without breaking the bank? So it’s made for you, especially since it has a battery life of 4 to 5 days.
How to choose the right connected watch?
The first question to ask is that of use. For example, do you want a watch to access all your notifications, make calls, monitor your well-being, monitor your body activity or even your sleep? The second is that of design, because even when you exhaust yourself during a marathon, you will always appreciate having a watch that suits you on your wrist. The choice of screen size is essential, 1.30 inches seems to be a minimum for good readability. A larger diameter will improve readability, but it means a larger fit on the wrist. The watch must of course be able to display notifications and in some cases allow you to respond. However, even if this is useful for athletes, they will be more attentive to the integrated sensors. So, whether it’s monitoring your heart rate, blood oxygen saturation level, or even peak oxygenation rate, there are sensors for everything. Some products also monitor the quality of your sleep and even your stress levels. Finally, a GPS will be ideal for those who engage in physical activity outdoors. The more complete the watch, the more expensive it will be… so it’s up to you to make the right calculation.
Why choose a Xiaomi watch?
Xiaomi knows how to create elegant and technologically complete connected watches, while remaining within controlled prices. First of all, you should know that Android Watch, the Google OS which equips many connected watches on the market, is absent. Your Xiaomi watch can automatically receive certain notifications, depending on the model you will be able to respond. Receiving voice calls is also a constant in Xiaomi watches. The only real lack of Xiaomi products is the lack of application. But in the real world, how many people actually use their smartwatch to check stock prices, read the news or comments on Instagram? With Xiaomi, the main thing is through the Mi Fitness application (iOS and Android). The application displays general information such as the number of steps taken, calories burned during the day, last activity carried out with access to training history, etc. It also displays various health information such as heart rate, blood oxygen and sleep tracking. There you will find data on your sporting activities, your training and the application’s analyzes of your well-being. Xiaomi therefore goes to the essentials, which does not prevent it from offering hundreds of dials for each watch, some of which are customizable.
